3 Night - Fall Getaway


Day 1

Morning:

Arrive in Whistler from YVR via a 2.5-hour drive with Whistler shuttle along the scenic Sea to Sky Highway.

Afternoon:

Start the afternoon off with an educational and exhilarating Zip line tour with either Superfly or Ziptrek Ecotours. Tours range from 2.5-5 hours in duration with a range of courses to choose from beginner to extreme! Zip lining is open in Whistler 365 days a year and is an activity kids as young as 6 can enjoy. For those that prefer a light adventure (or families with younger children), the Tree Trek Canopy Walk with Ziptrek Ecotours offers a guided interpretive adventure across a stunning network of suspension bridges, suspended stairways, boardwalks and ground based trails, with no zipping required.

Evening:

Many of Whistlers finest restaurants often reward their locals and autumn customers with fantastic deals and affordable set-menu specialties. With 100+ places to eat and some truly world class offerings autumn dining in Whistler at an affordable price.


Day 2

Morning:

Leave the crowds of Whistler village behind as you adventure into the wild in style in one of the world’s most capable 4x4 vehicles on a 3 hour bear viewing tour with Whistler Photo Safari’s. This intimate excursion focuses on the Whistler Olympic Park resident black bears and their cubs, as well as the famed 2010 Olympic venue itself. With after-hours access to the Olympic Park and exclusive privilege to drive on the 2010 Olympic Legacy Trail network, guests will experience amazing private lookouts, lakes, waterfalls, wildlife, bear dens and a once in a lifetime view from the top of the Olympic ski jumps.

Afternoon:

This afternoon guests can enjoy a birdseye view of Whistler followed by the magnificent beauty of the Cheakamus Glacier and a unique immersion in the famous Garibaldi Provincial Park. After this stunning adventure, the helicopter will land for guests to experience the once in a lifetime chance of stepping out onto a 12,000-year-old glacier on Rainbow Mountain. The BC experience is a 24-minute flight with a 15-minute glacier landing *Glacier landing is complimentary and subject to weather.

Evening:

Can't decide on one restaurant why not join Whistler Tasting Tours? Guests can experience a range of Whistler’s best restaurants in one night! During this guided 3-hour walking tour, guests can enjoy a full four-course dinner at an array of restaurants and each course can be expertly paired with a fine British Columbian wine.


Day 3

Morning:

Autumn brings salmon into the rivers south of town and the trout in the Whistler lakes start to get hungry and less picky about what they’ll bite, making fishing a great all ages activity to start the day off. Pemberton Fish Finders are Whistler’s elite fishing company, and will include fishing gear, flies, lures, guide, transportation to and from Whistler and lunch on full day trips. *Anyone over 16 will require a BC fishing license extra (http://www.fishing.gov.bc.ca/)

Afternoon:

After a relaxing morning fishing, guests can enjoy Whistler’s local parks and lakes by either biking or hiking. For an easy adventure, Lost Lake is a great option just 5km roundtrip from the Whistler Village and has a bunch of different cross-country biking and walking trails to pick from that look spectacular with the changing autumn colours!.

Evening:

Tonight guests can discover one of Whistler’s newest evening attraction - Vallea Lumina. Moment Factory, a global leader in video, lighting, sound and special effects will bring Whistler’s forests to life with a brand new Lumina experience, heightening the natural landscape with multimedia to create a world filled with adventure and enchantment. Vallea Lumina is a 1.5 km pathway through an old-growth forest that will take visitors of all ages on an hour-long night walk in pursuit of hidden wonders, telling a story that unfolds in chapters along the way.


Day 4

Morning:

This morning guests can get out and see the mountains by either an ATV or side x side adventure. These exhilarating all-terrain tours run daily until the snow comes, with multiple tours to pick from this is a thrilling adventure for groups, couples and solo visitors for all ability levels.

Afternoon:

Before heading back to the airport/ downtown Vancouver, have your guests stop in and try their hand at Axe throwing! Forged Axe throwing offers one-hour sessions daily, where guests can sharpen their skills and learn the basics, which will have them getting a bullseye in no time!
