2 Night - Summer Getaway

2 Night - Summer Getaway

Day 1

Morning:

Travel from Vancouver along the beautiful Sea to Sky highway on scheduled motor coach. If you are driving be sure to take a rest stop at one of the Provincial Parks along the way. Welcome to Whistler!

Afternoon:

Start your day and your adventures in Whistler with an educational and exhilarating ziplining tour. Ziplining is a new activity that has taken Whistler by storm. Thrilling and adrenalin-inducing, the activity is perfectly safe and a guaranteed good time. TreeTrek is a fantastic alternative to ziplining - journey on a series of suspension bridges in the treetops of Whistler's ancient forests. Or, check out the Monkido aerial tree course at Wildplay Whistler. Some of the elements of the park include zip lines, suspended bridges, scramble nets and swinging logs. Fun for all ability levels!

Evening:

Tackle a large pile of nachos on a sun-drenched pub patio. Or sip locally inspired cocktails while listening to local musical talent. With more than 90 restaurants within Whistler Village, the dining options are endless! Or, if you just can't decide on one restaurant why not join Whistler Tasting Tours? During this guided 3-hour walking tour, guests enjoy a full four-course dinner, where each delicious course is provided by a different restaurant and expertly paired with a fine British Columbian wine.

Day 2

Morning:

A visit to Whistler would not be complete without a paddle down the River of Golden Dreams. Hop in a canoe, kayak, or double kayak and get ready to explore epic views, old growth forest, and wildflower-lined river banks. Let experienced guides give you paddling tips and share knowledge of Whistler's history, geography and wildlife - or head out on an unguided solo tour.

Afternoon:

This afternoon is all about Whistler's famous alpine. Head up the gondola from the Blackcomb Base or the Whistler Village Gondola from the main village and explore a few hiking trails at 6,000 feet. The handy trail map will guide guests to the easy or more challenging paths. Have lunch on a mountain-top Umbrella bar while admiring the stunning scenery. Wonder down to the Peak Chair to experience the Cloudraker Skybridge that spans 130m from Whistler Peak to the West Ridge, crossing high above Whistler Bowl. After lunch, take the exciting PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola, spanning the distance between Whistler and Blackcomb's peaks, and stretching a little more than three kilometers. The ride takes just 15 minutes and offers incredible views of the surrounding mountain range and Whistler Valley below. Wait for the silver gondolas as they offer glass bottoms for a 360° experience. Remember to watch for resident black bears along the way - they love to dine on the bushes surrounding the gondola towers!

Evening:

If it is a Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening guests can enjoy a great sunset from the Roundhouse Lodge on Whistler Mountain for an incredible mountain top BBQ experience complete with live entertainment and incredible views.
